Join my music legion!

Some people rediscover love, others religion, and quite a few, food.

I have re discovered >>Our Lady Peace<<

The first time I listened to them was in sec 2, when I happened to catch "Life" on some obscure music program, in India ( of all places =]). I thought the song was nice but, er, I was still being weaned off 5ive,Westlife and the Thongthongthongthongthong . This was the period where I thought Oasis was trash ( i know. i never cease to amaze myself), and anything with a extended stanza devoted to guitar was a no-no. Sadly, a rather forgettable first impression

I was re introduced to it, when their 2002 album Gravity came out, by Nuha. Originally, I refused to enter because I thought was directing me to a porn site.( Perfectly acceptable conclusion because previously she directed me to whitehouse.com for "social studies". Its got alot of social studying alright, just not ideas I think would be appreciated by any of the O'level examiners). I was crazy about their first release "Somewhere out there" but I got over it becuase I was trying to pursue alternative tastes like Mr fiddy cent and"I'm-always-wearing-a-plaster-cuz-its-getting hawt-in-here" Nelly.

And then I discover them all over again recently and I them! so much =)

All their old songs from their 1994 - 2000 albums are fantastically terrific, its almost scary. Since, they've changed quite a few band members, during their course (I think Raine Maida, (vocals) is the only original band member left), each album is actually different, as though plugged out by a different band. The influences are constantly changing and its picked up and highlighted in a really rousing thumping sing along with me way. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Raine Maida (what a dishy name eh?) looks

like this * dreamy smile* =)

He's married though, to none other than Chantal Kreviazuk ( For the uninitiated, its a good thing you escaped the weepy blahness of Armageddon but missed out on her great cover of John Denver's "Leaving on a jetplane")

Welcome back craving addictive feeling of needing to listen to music over and over again. =)

**edit: oh, whitehouse.com no longer a porn site, as I was informed by my very "knowledgeable" friend. Its always good to keep up with current affairs yeah? Plus, I already know some buggers out there would have typed it in your PCs to check it out. So don't say I didn't warn you !
