Welcome to India where the cows eat hay and we drive auto rickshaws everyday

Incoherency disclaimer: I am tired but I wish to blog so sue me.
As you notice, I'm not on a bullock cart nor am I transmitting this as an email with a few blackboard scratchings and a lot of prayer (as some of my friends believe)

I have to get up early tomorrow at 5 so this will be very short( Sunrise is at 5.30 here, believe it!) cuz its my cousin's seematham ( Well, this is a ceremony they perform when the girl is about 8 months pregnant.. and its a lot of fun and noise. They put bangles on her and stuff like that. Basically to cherish and love the baby sorta thing.) This is probabaly the most hectic week of my holiday! I just returned from visting my dad's hometown!!!! *excited bounce bounce* I saw the house he grew up in, his school, his cricket ground and all that jazz. It is exciting for me, because, my dad never grew up in Sg so I don't have anything to connect any of the stories he tells me. And he has refused to visit it as he is afraid his memories would be altered. So he hasn't set foor in that place 40yrs +++.

Oh yes, and , this is like a movie. saw cute guy at airport lounge ( I ALWAYS spot the cute ones when I am helpless i.e with my mum). all floppy hair and serious intense look, staring at his laptop. He boards the same plane (strike one!) and sits somewhere far far far away (OUT!) and I give up all hope of seeing him. He is really cute. :(

Then, when we were waiting to collect our luggage at the belt( and in India, this is like a CHORE. they have one belt and all the suitcases come out and you have to play "where's wally?") who do I see ?

(STRIKE TWO!!!!) Cute guy is right next to us (sadly, my mum has to be included in this exchange) and waiting with serious intense look ( I pray he didn't catch me checking him out) and

(STRIKE THREE!! *trang trang*) His suitcase was kinda heavy and who was right next to him to help him out?
who?
who?
who?

Me!!!(Strike three AGAIN!)
He said thank you and smiled. My world was transformed. hahahhaah.

ok that was the soap opera moment for the day. see ya all in a few bullock carts. hahahah

Don't you love exploiting the stereotype?
