Wow. Shaan left yesterday and you know, it still hasn't sunk into me. I think its partly because she was a friend I never met up that much with but was one who I smsed and msned quite a bit. Its a bit like losing something that was always there. She was always part of my life, like in the background and the foreground. I don't know how to quite explain it. Its quite weird but I have all these random memories of her starting with her cringing at Bend it Like Beckham (cuz I was soooo loud at the movie. haha) and like how we always end up going to suntec, the eternal borrowing of the double bass, the "don tell you" and I'd want to smack her so bad. hahaha. When I first found out about Curtis, at the Bedok Food Market, the WHOLE Icc Shenagians where she will draaaag me down to go, bitching sessions about you know who and how we always end up going siglap. The hang around at cartel cuz got cakes at half price after 9 pm!! =) She's one of my go to movies khakis =) And the whole " I scared of Shaan, I scared of Asha" hahaha. Well, not anymore and well, now that she's going off to be with Gau, I bet some poor sod down there has to mediate. I better not get any emails. HAHAHA, it just occurred to me that when Gau left, we were like, its a good thing cuz she would have never kept in touch and now, hopefully, they'll talk, since they ended up going to the same place :) Omg, and when we ate fried mars bar and it took me forever to drag it out of her (and fatma) to say I was right, that it was good. And how she'll like cringe everytime I do something super loud and embarrassing. hahaha. And the time we went to Billy Bombers in Simei and it took her FOREVER to decide what she wanted. Orange and Bloo. How it drove me crazy everytime she'll time or write in postcards all these words like ish, cosh and all these other weird combinations of words. And like how she arranged her pens in one direction and it used to annoy her SO much that I kept making fun of her =) And it still drives me nuts that she can go through everything in almost silence. ( the woman's children will die from lack of communication)

I think its like how I was telling Anusha, that I wasn't mentally prepared for her to be leaving now. And now its like *poof* she's gone. I didn't have time to miss her. And its a bit too fast =(

On the bright side, she's coming back in 4 months

Well, yesterday was an opportunity to meet up with like all the rest of the TK pple. I finally saw Shaf and Nuha after how many YEARS. Had a fun time bullying Anusha who kept threatening me with Dhash. hahah. And I was telling her the only random memory of her cousin brother I had was the one outside Siglap Pizzahut at Dhash's birthday party where we were playing Dog and Bone ( hey, we were young!) and some Ah Bengs came to disturb us and he was like "wanna fight, wanna fight!" hahahha. She also finally realised who Fatma is.

Another thing I must remember to thank God for other than letting me just be Brenda's friend is also just letting me be Fatma's friend. I have it on foremost authority that she will make her little kid wash his pants if he peed in it from fear of her. ( I know she's rolling her eyes as she is reading this. I KNOW you are.)

OMG. and yes! Yesterday we saw Neil Humphreys! IN NUS. Actually we spotted him near Central Lib as we were walking towards Yusof Ishak. Nab and I were like OMG OMG OMG and Asha was like "Why are they checking out some old ang-moh fella? He isn't even cute"

So while Nab and I were debating whether to get his autograph, he started walking towards Yusof Ishak and at the moment we started to go off to YI as well so he probably thought we were stalking him. And he went to the canteen and huddled off in some corner ( further proof of him thinking we were stalking him. haha) And then finally we whipped up enough guts to approach him for his autograph! Asha, the shameless peasant came along, when she had no idea who he was ( he gave her an appropriate message- "Don't read my columns too much" He needn't worry. She had never read any of his :P) And my god, I was giggling so much. It was so embarrassing. And he was like" Hey this might even feature in my next book". So we made him promise not to mention us as "the giggling schoolgirls" SOOO exciting

I also got capris.
All in all, an eventful day =)

Have fun there Shaan!
